Emily Windsnap and the Monster in the Deep
Emily Windsnap just wants to impress her best friend, Shona, and the other mermaids around Allpoints Island. But instead, she wakes up the kraken, a frightening octopus- like monster the size of an apartment. He's coming after everything and everyone, and it's up to Emily to stop the kraken. Luckily, Emily has the help of Shona and of one other person. This person is one Emily hoped NEVER to see again.
I have read half of that book. And then ,sadly, I had to take it back to the library. =(
