Computer Lab

"Today, you are going to do a reality check and see what jobs are best for you," said Mr. Jost. In computer lab, everybody had to take a reality check. During the reality check, everyone would choose where they wanted tolive. Also, everybody checked off all the things they would want to have with them. At the end, you would see the monthly expenses and the annual salary needed for where you live and the things you need. This reality check is a great lesson which teaches you how to live and what to watch out for.

"Now put four polluters and ten bears in the bowl." In science lab today, we played a game to teach you how pollution can kill animals and life. Everyone would take two bears out at a time in a bowl. If they got two yellow, then they lived. If they got a yellow and a green, then that yellow bear died. Finally, if you got two green, then you had to add another polluter to those ones. This lab taught us to not pollute, because if you do, you can kill animals and life in future generations.

Petroleum products or plastic are everywhere in the world. In science lab, we learned that plastic can be anywhere you look and may be dangerous. Plastic is in toothpaste, in shoes, and anywhere else you won't expect it. Plastics or petroleum products can also help people too. But most are harmful because the chemicals in the plastic can come off and cause cancer or autism. In fact, one in thirty-five children are diagnosed with autism. People need to use less plastic because it is hurting people everywhere in the world.

Computer Lab

"You are... TRAPPED!" In computer lab everyone went on to Bitesize Math to do games on either science, reading, or writing. One game on writing was Trapped and you had to pick the right punctuation in order to move up levels. Reviewing punctuations are a very important skill to learn. For example, usually when writing essays, people get graded on punctuation. It also applies to real life. When a person wants to write a book, if there aren't the right punctuations, people could get confused. Bitesize math is a great way to learn/review skills that can help you later in life too.
