The Hidden Girl 97pgs.
"You can't go to sleep tonight. You will sneak out of the ghetto." The Hidden Girl, by Lola Rein Kaufman, is about a girl named Lola who is sent to hide. She has been from house to house in secret to try and hide from the Nazis. Lola has lost everything and is struggling to stay out of discovery. Lola has to find safety before the Nazis take her away. Lola builds up perseverance without anyone to talk to. In this book, I feel bad for Lola because she has lost everybody in her family.

Pounding, Dripping

One morning, Fara Ross accidentally puts on two different socks. Little does she know that it will ignite her political career. As a wardrobe malfunction grows into an expression of freedom in footwear, that can only lead to a bigger problem. Like, the race for student council president. She is getting attention for the wrong reasons, but she knows she is perfect for the job. She needs people to pay attention to the issues- not the socks. What will it take to get people to pay attention to her, she's not a pair of feet!
